Basic Design

How to Build the Foundation?
Transforming Concepts into Engineering Designs.

REGA engineering design teams execute a full range of designs and specifications for all aspects of oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities. Our multidisciplinary teams provide engineering solutions for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects, ensuring the development of fully operational and optimized industrial plants.

We conduct basic engineering studies prior to detailed design and execution phases, utilizing a team of expert engineers and specialists. Our Basic Engineering Package typically includes the following deliverables:

  • Design Basis: Definition of design standards, industry codes, site conditions, and required characteristics of utility supply systems.
  • Process Description: Overview of key process units and equipment, including their function and operational characteristics.
  • Equipment List: Identification and specification of all major process equipment.
  • Process Flow Diagrams & Heat & Material Balances: Development of process calculations, defining all process streams, operating conditions, and material balances in tabular and flow sheet format.
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID): Illustration of process equipment interconnections, instrumentation control schemes, and key utility integrations.
  • Process Equipment Data Sheets: Specification of process data for all Inside Battery Limit (ISBL) equipment.
  • Instrument List: Identification of control valves, flow instruments, pressure instruments, temperature sensors, and safety relief devices.
  • Piping: Development of piping specifications and classification index for process and utility piping.
  • Utilities Consumption: Specification of required chemicals, utilities, and consumption rates.
  • Preliminary Plot Plan: A layout defining the placement of process units, storage tanks, utility areas, and administrative buildings for optimized plant configuration.

With extensive experience in oil, gas, and petrochemical projects, REGA ensures that all designs align with international industry standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency goals.
